Make Summer Memories
We are in full summer mode here in the Midwest! School is out, the beach is busy, and tourists have arrived. We have had limited rainfall this year which isn't good for the local crops, but makes for beautifully sunny, blue sky days!
These are the porch-sitting days. The sounds of kids playing in the neighboring pool. The smell of fresh cut lawns and the quiet evenings when the sky glows pink at sunset.
We stay up later in summers here in the Midwest. It may be full on dark in winter by 5pm and we are ready to hibernate in bed by 8pm, but in summer we are just getting started at that time. It's still twilight at 10pm as the last of the sun's rays finally disappear over the horizon. Summer is for making up lost time, enjoying moments and creating memories.
