Hi! I’m Jennifer.
The artist behind Tandem For Two.
I haven't re-introduced myself in a while, so a little bit about me and what you're in for.
I didn’t start out as an artist, I started as an engineer. I liked structure, problem-solving, and knowing there was a right answer somewhere. Then somewhere along the way, I realized I was more interested in places than plans, color than certainty, and the feeling of being somewhere new than getting everything exactly right.
Now I make art inspired by seasons, travel, coastal towns, and the small details that make a place feel like home. The kind of artwork that celebrates where you live, where you’ve been, and where you’re headed next. I talk about art a lot. But I don’t only talk about art.
I talk about creative growth and trying new things later than you thought you were allowed to. About learning to like your wonky lines. About experimenting with new mediums and letting curiosity lead instead of perfection. About travel, everyday beauty, and paying attention to the places that shape us.
I’m the kind of person who will notice a shoreline curve, a roadside sign, or a color combination on a walk, then come back to the studio and turn that feeling into something you can hang on a wall or gift to someone you love.
I don’t believe creativity belongs to a select few. I don’t believe you have to stop exploring at a certain age. And I don’t believe art has to be complicated to be meaningful. I’m not here to shout trends or sell hustle. I’m here to share the process, the places, the experiments, and the joy of making something that brings a smile. Sometimes that looks like finished artwork. Sometimes it looks like a trip that unlocks a new idea. Sometimes it looks like learning as I go and inviting you along for the ride.
If you’re here for art and illustration, you’ll get that. If you’re here for travel-inspired creativity, you’ll get that too. And If you’re here because you like celebrating everyday moments and don’t fit neatly into one box, you’re probably in the right place.
I don’t have it all figured out. I’m not trying to. I’m exploring, experimenting, and making things that feel good to live with.
Welcome. Pull up a chair (and a coffee or cocktail). I'm glad you're along for the ride!
And if you’re new here, I’m glad you found your way!
