I've been trying to reach out and check in on others more this season. Maybe a text or a note on my hello fall card. A package in the mail or a trinket left on someone's doorstep. Little ways to let others know they are thought of and loved. It's lovely any time of year, but fall is always a season of change, so even better this time of year to remind others you are there with them.

Community is what we were looking for all those years ago when we were fresh out of college and deciding where to live. Along the Shores of Lake Erie Residents of Michigan and Ohio are infamous for their rivalry and a lot of Michiganders wouldn't think of vacationing in Ohio, except for a day at Cedar Point. But recently my daughter and I took a weekend to explore Cleveland and as we explored this city on the shores of Lake Erie.

Summer to me means time on my front porch. Sometimes it's time for morning coffee as the sun warms us up, afternoon cocktails when we quit work a little early, or evening meals when we linger and talk about the day. They all seem better when they are on our porch.
